9-LEGEND:SAINT GEORGE & THE DRAGON

Hi Class!

Today I am very happy because it’s 23rd April! The Book Day! Or Saint George’s Day!

As I told you yesterday, this day is sooooo special to me because since I was a child I have celebrated it with my family and friends as the Day of the book AND the rose!! Yes!! And the rose!! Maybe you will ask me… why a rose? The explanation is in a legend: The legend of Saint George and the Dragon. A dragon? Yeah! A fantastic animal! Do you like legends? Do you like dragons? Do you like knights, castles and princesses? I hope all of you answered YES!! Sooooo, click on the following videos and watch … The legend of Saint George and the dragon! Let me know if you like it!

VIDEO 1. FRIENDLY VERSION

VIDEO 2. MORE REALISTIC VERSION OF THE LEGEND
In Cataluña the tradition says that you have to give a red rose to people you love. Because I love you all, this rose is from me to you! HAPPY SAINT GEORGE'S DAY!
I also asked Diane to tell us a tale. She prepared “There was an old lady who swalled a fly”. Hope you like it!
Just in case, you didn’t understand everything I am also posting another video based on Diane’s tale, “There was an old lady who swalled a fly”, with pictures. Enjoy it!

And to finish, I'm posting you a website where you can read online lots of books. Click HERE or in the picture. (I also explain you how to use it in "INTERESTING LINKS").
